Spartan Chinese School (aka Great Lakes Chinese Center) is registered with IRS and Michigan LARA as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. It is operated by the Executive Committee and supervised by the Board of Directors, both volunteer-based.

Our youth thrive in the local community with high-quality Chinese language education and complementary cultural enrichment experiences.
School Mission.
We help children from K-Grade 12 in the local community, especially the heritage language learners, to learn the Chinese language. We collaborate with other MSU and Greater Lansing Area based organizations to promote Chinese culture and heritage and to encourage the understanding between the Chinese and other cultures.

Note: Spartan Chinese School offers Chinese Language Learning Classes every Sunday from 10:30AM to 12:20PM on Michigan State University Campus. 2023-2024 School year will be in person. The schedule referenced both MSU and Local Public School Calendar as many of our teachers are MSU students, and many of our students enroll in local public schools.
